We are thrilled to announce the location of our 2026 Con Terence.  We’re meeting at the beautiful, remotely located and meticulously appointed Sunscapes Dominic’s resort in LaRomana.

The theme for this year is “Building a Prevailing Ministry” and we will be exploring the vital components that go into any kind of effective ministry.  With decades of missions and missionary experience, Ken Lassiter will share with us the critical activities that are part of leading the people we are reaching in the Dominican from Skeptic to Missionary.

What you can expect:

  • Enjoy Fine Dining

Guests will enjoy dining at any number of the 11 restaurants without a reservation.  In addition there are plenty of activities for the kiddos including an arcade, kids zone and a teenage hangout.

  • Beach/Pool

The beach is beautiful, but if the beach is not your thing, you can enjoy the pool, hot tub, or waterslide.

  • Worship

Worship will be led by our good friend Jordan Magelssen and newcomer (for us) Luke Logsdon.

  • Wellness/Physical Therapy Sessions

We will have at your service, a Physical Therapist as in years past and are adding to our Wellness Staff a Christian Counselor who will be available to chat with anyone along the way.

  • Child Care

As always, you can rest assured that your kiddos will be looked after by our experienced Child Care Team.

We know that you do not what you do for a weekend like the one we’re offering.  But we know that you will benefit from the time away.  We welcome the opportunity to serve you and cherish the hours we will get to spend together.

Please register today and remember that payment is not needed immediately to register (however it does make things easier on our end).

A limited number of scholarships are available for rooms so do not delay.

Why this Retreat?

Missionaries live high paced, deeply spiritual and vitally important lives. They give themselves fully and freely to the call from God they have accepted. Often, they say “yes” to as many opportunities and obligations as possible to maximize their impact on the mission field.

This pace coupled with the place can lead to premature burn-out at worst and being dangerously weary at best.

Yuvia invests in the Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual well being of missionaries by developing and deploying resources to enrich and extend the impact of missions to Latin America.

Our hallmark event is an annual retreat/conference. At this event we bring in physical therapists to diagnose and treat the many stress-related ailments missionaries carry along with them without complaint. We mobilize child care to give parents a much needed break. We
bring top tier worship leaders to bring attendees into a spirit of praise. We offer practical and biblical teaching from seasoned ministry leaders who know a thing or two about the long marathon of ministry.

We keep the registration fee for the conferences as low as possible and also know that if material comes at no cost whatsoever, it lowers the perceived value for the missionaries we hope to encourage. We host the event at a location that offers many amenities so missionaries
can find time to relax, recharge and refresh. We space meetings out so there is ample down time.

We’re looking for partners who care about the efficacy of missions and love the missionaries carrying the gospel ahead.
